Almost Angels

Literally speaking, an angel is a spiritual, supernatural being—human-like in form, often depicted with wings. But symbolically, angels embody something deeper: hope, love, purity, and guidance.

The works in this series—spanning both full-color and black-and-white digital compositions—adhere to neither strict definition. Instead, they explore the concept of angels as visual metaphors, imagined and interpreted through a contemporary lens.

Angels, as described in spiritual traditions, are intangible beings with intuitive knowledge—able to perceive and understand beyond the limits of the human mind. In this portfolio, they appear not as literal depictions but as abstracted, altered forms, designed to evoke a mix of awe, beauty, and, at times, subtle unease.

This series invites viewers to reconsider what an angel looks like—and more importantly, what an angel feels like.
It asks: Can something be divine and disquieting? Beautiful and otherworldly? Seen, yet not fully understood?

These are almost angels—figures caught somewhere between the celestial and the imagined.
